Get Ready for Color . . . POW!

It would have been so funny a year ago to imagine that I would be studying the fashion runways, magazines and such. But now with our apparel department in full swing, it’s fun to take my background in textiles and tie it with color!

Color: the one constant element that has driven Dwellings from day one!

So, Whitney and I just got back from our spring/early summer fashion and accessory buying show in New York City, and wait til you see the treats we found!

This season look out for:

Bright Colors: rich coral, bold yellow, cobalt blue, turquoise, purple and lime.  Neutrals of black, white and a fabulous pale nude that will work with everything! 

Patterns: from big and bold. . .

 

to small, dainty and very feminine!

Keep an eye out for tons of vests, jackets and short afghan style tops. You will love the way they layer all season long, even on the hottest days!

There is also a looking back movement from the 70's of crochet, lace and eyelet - remember those hippy-dippy days?  (Ok, wait - I'm dating myself aren't I?)

A little tip for the season…Just take a favorite neutral piece from your wardrobe and add a little pop of color. You’ll love how this seasons bold punch will freshen your up look!
